REGISTER FOR CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY and NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME

WOULD YOU LIKE TO GAIN INSIGHTS INTO HOW THE ST. BERNARD SHERIFF’S OFFICE OPERATES, AND LEARN ABOUT THE CHALLENGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR DEPUTIES?

Then sign up for our Citizens Police Academy course, a free, 10-week program offered to St. Bernard Parish residents.

During the course, which runs from Sept. 7 through Nov. 9, participants will hear from Sheriff’s Office commanders on various phases of law enforcement, including patrol work, narcotics enforcement, detective duties, and SWAT team demonstrations. Participants also will be given boating safety tips, and tour the Parish Prison.

LOOKING FOR A GREAT WAY TO GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS BETTER AND HELP FIGHT CRIME AT THE SAME TIME?

Consider hosting a Night Out Against Crime party on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in your neighborhood. It’s a great way for neighbors to strengthen bonds and increase crime prevention awareness.

Sheriff James Pohlmann and Sheriff’s Office deputies will visit various gatherings to meet residents and answer any questions they may have about law enforcement issues and crime prevention.

FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT EITHER PROGRAM, CALL LT. ERIC EILERS AT (504) 278-7628.
