As a tropical system is expected to impact our area over the next few days, St. Bernard Parish residents are advised to stay weather aware and begin preparing now.
While it’s too early to predict exact impacts, heavy rain and street flooding are possible.
✅ Here’s what you can do now to stay safe:
• Stay informed: Monitor official updates from local meteorologists, the National Weather Service and St. Bernard Parish Government.
• Check your emergency supplies: Make sure you have water, food, medications, batteries, and a flashlight.
• Secure loose outdoor items and clear street drains near your home to help prevent flooding during heavy rain.
• Charge your devices: Keep phones and backup batteries fully charged.
• Avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather.
