The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office Job Fair is happening THIS WEDNESDAY, April 9, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center (8245 W. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette), on the Jean Lafitte Parkway side.
This is your chance to explore a rewarding career in law enforcement, meet our deputies, and learn about the opportunities SBSO has to offer.
Applications can be submitted on-site, so bring the required documents (copies can be made at the event, if needed):
✅ High school diploma or G.E.D.
✅ Driver’s license
✅ Social Security Card
✅ Birth Certificate
✅ DD 214 (Veterans only)
✅ POST Certificate (if applicable)
The starting salary is $45,200, increasing to $52,400 with state pay after one year, plus competitive benefits. Positions are available in Corrections, Patrol, and Communications.
