GREEN BRIDGE CLOSURE

According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) the LA 47 (Paris Road) Green Bridge will be fully closed this weekend, weather permitting, from 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 through 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18.

This closure is necessary for crews to perform structural rehabilitation work associated with the $45 million restoration project.

๐ŸšซNo traffic will be allowed to pass over the bridge during the closure.

Motorists wanting to travel northbound on LA 47 to I-510 will be detoured to LA 39, Elysian Fields, I-10, and back to I-510.

Motorists wanting to travel southbound on I-510 to LA 47 will be detoured to I-10, Elysian Fields, LA 39, and back to LA 47.

Ongoing work includes cleaning, painting, structural rehabilitation, and navigational lighting installation of the main truss.

DOTD has the following resources in place to assist motorists.

Motorists can receive information on local projects, lane and road closures, and other DOTD activities by signing up for MyDOTD at www.dotd.la.gov.

Travelers can also find information regarding road closures and traffic by visiting www.511la.org or by dialing 511 from their telephone and saying the route or region they are seeking information.

Out-of-state travelers can access the system by calling 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511).
