Families serve meals to deputies
St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office deputies were treated to lunch and dinner on Saturday, Oct. 17 to show appreciation for their hard work, dedication and willingness to put their lives on the line to protect their community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meals were prepared and served by the Peltier, Beckham and Montelongo families out of one of their homes on Angela Avenue in Old Arabi. Deputies from all divisions and two shifts were invited to dine in the backyard of their home, or pick up meals to go. Food items consisted of barbecued chicken, potato salad, and beans. Arabi Food Store donated macaroni and cheese, and Gerald’s sent donuts. They also had cookies with the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office badge imprinted on them, as well as various other sweets donated by Jennifer Montelongo of Divine Gourmet Cheescakes & Desserts.
Preparing and serving the meals were: Billy Beckham, Rob Peltier, Sandra Peltier, Patricia Peltier, Robert Peltier Sr.,Robin Beckham and Shae Beckham.
