Chalmette, LA – Due to east winds associated with gulf storms and TS Beta, the eastern end of St. Bernard Parish is under an immediate threat of flooding. This includes Shell Beach, Hopedale, Yscloskey and Delacroix.

We are currently experiencing 27mph winds with gusts up to 35mph
The current tidal surge is at 4.8 feet
Low tide is at 1:15pm today
Emergency crews are currently reinstalling the rock dam on Florissant Hwy

President McInnis is asking citizens with assets outside of the levee protection system, that are in danger of losing those assets by rising water, move them inside the levee protection system, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
As always, these assets will be moved inside the system on the westbound lane.
