Attention St. Bernard Parish Residents & Visitors:

The 11th Annual Tour da Parish Bike Ride, hosted by the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Saturday, October 25, beginning promptly at 7:15 a.m. Hundreds of cyclists will be riding throughout the parish, particularly along LA-46, Bayou Road, and Florissant Highway, continuing down toward Delacroix, Hopedale, and Shell Beach.

Drivers are urged to stay alert, reduce speed, and use caution when traveling in these areas, as cyclists will be sharing the roadway throughout the morning. Most riders are expected to be off the road around noon, but motorists should remain aware as some participants may still be finishing later in the afternoon.

Due to a bridge closure on Bayou Road, traffic on LA-46 before and near the junction of Bayou Road, LA-46, and Florissant Highway will be adjusted to accommodate cyclists. Both southbound lanes on LA-46 ahead of the junction will be closed to vehicle traffic and dedicated to cyclists only, while all vehicles will be directed to use the two northbound lanes.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation in helping ensure the safety of both riders and drivers during this parish-wide tourism event. More details about Tour da Parish can be found at www.tourdaparish.com.
